Hello, I picked up a 1997 GT 500 for my folks to ride. it is in good shape for its age, starts easily, track is good and everything works well. I put new needle valves in carbs, reset to factory specs (they were all messed up), put in new battery, cleaned up clutch surfaces, put on new belt, set ... Jul 20, 2012. #6. I have had a 97, a 2007 300F, and currently have a 2008 550F LT and a 2010 550F Sport (137X15). The 2010 has 1500 miles and the 2008 has 3774. The only time I wished for more power than the 550F was this last winter. The snow was very deep. I may try to take the 2010 to 144X16X2" and drop a gear.It slows down, but it keeps going. I've been looking at buying a new Skidoo and looking close at the motors. I'm really liking the specs on the 600 e-tec. The stock 900 primary spring in 2016 was the Yellow / Red (p/n 417223751). That is a 100 / 155 spring. Sold mine with 9000 miles on it in 2015 (2012 that I bought brand new) never had 1 issue. I changed the chain case every 1200 miles lubed and adjusted the track every other ride and adjusted the belt when needed. Never even changed the plugs.
