If I remember right, our in house forum gunsmith, Lowegan, stated the barrel removal on a Mark-1V can be a bear to remove. I believe he used heat to make the removal a easier process. Welcome to the forum from central ohio. To answer your question , yes you can use the Tandemkross trigger with the Volquartsen parts in tour 22/45. I have the same combo in my MK IV 22/45 target. I have the flat triggers on a couple other guns and like them so decided to put one on the MK IV.I don't have that issue with my Mark III. Otherwise, great gun, so much fun to shoot. Edit, one more thing, hasn't happened on my Mark IV, but on my Mark III the rear sight has a bad habit of coming loose and moving in the dovetail. I lost the set screw at the range, Ruger sent me another no questions asked.
